Importing Customers to Your Store

Importing Customers to Your Store

Importing customers to your store can be done using our CSV template or our Excel CSV template. To get the CSV/Excel template:

1. On the Dashboard, select the Customers section.

2. On the screen, select the "Import" button.

3. Choose either the CSV Template button or the Excel Template button to display the template for importing products in Salespoint.

Once the CSV/Excel template has been downloaded to your device, open the file and fill it in with the correct information.

First Name: First name of the customer.

Last Name: Last name of the customer.

First & Last Name: (Optional) Full name of the customer. This column is useful for users who want to copy a column with already filled full names without having to split the first and last names.

Company: (Optional) The organization or business that the customer is associated with.

Address: Customer's primary address.

Address (Shipping): The specific address where a customer wants their purchased goods or products to be delivered.

Email: The email address of the customer. This is beneficial for customer invoicing and emailing receipts.

Phone: Telephone number of the customer.

Phone (Mobile): The contact phone number of the customer for communication purposes such as order confirmation and customer service inquiries.

Notes: Additional information or comments about a customer recorded for reference or internal purposes.

Category: A special classification assigned to the customer that entitles them to receive discounts or benefits from a store.

Charge Account: An arrangement where a customer can make purchases on credit or charge through an account. This is usually at 0 credit.

Charge Account Limit: Spending limit for the customer account (optional). Do not add anything if you have a global charge limit for all customers.

Store: Optional field for an account with multiple stores. Fill this field if you want the customer to be assigned to a specific store only.

Once done, download your CSV/Excel file and import it into Salespoint. This will load the customers. Double-check the columns and click the next button, then verify, then click the IMPORT button. This will load the customers to your screen in no time!

Ensure the business type is "Hospitality" or "Other".
